el sombrero feo

after many months work, i have finished el sombrero feo (the ugly hat). my friends had a great time teaching me to make a traditional panamanian hat and then laugh at it. oh well, it was fun.

starting out with dried palm fibers

wove down the sides and added color

they all laughed at my beginner's weaving skills

almost done!

just need to fold over the ends
